About

The department of management studies was started in the year 1988. Heber Institute of Management Studies is one of the pioneers in imparting management education in Tiruchirappalli. The department has flourished as a unique entity offering quality management education for more than 27 years. The department has its unique slogan, 'towards excellence', and always aims at value addition to its students. Quality education is so essential, and it is the educators' responsibility to highlight the importance of education in order to provide employability to the students. Today the department has bloomed into a fully-fledged research department offering BBA, MBA, M.Phil., and Ph.D., programmes and initiated BBA in AVIATION MANAGEMENT AND GROUND HANDLING jointly with Madras Flying Club. The department conducts Management Development Programme with a motive of training the second line leaders. Coaching classes for candidates appearing for the TANCET examination are organized regularly. There are various student associations like ABLE & BMA that conduct department functions such as TYRO & FIRMA annually.

The department signed MOU's with various international universities like IESEG, France and Neoma Business School for student exchange programmes. Forty-nine students from Bishop Heber visited France and 26 students from France visited Bishop Heber College under student exchange programme.
